How much does Etsy take from each sale in 2026?
On a $30 item + $5 shipping in the US: $0.20 listing + $2.28 transaction (6.5%) + $1.36 payment processing = $3.84 total. You keep $31.16 before your cost of goods. If Offsite Ads applies at 12%, Etsy takes an additional $4.20 on that sale.
Did Etsy fees change in 2026?
No. Etsy's fee structure is unchanged since April 2022. The listing fee is $0.20, transaction fee is 6.5%, and payment processing varies by country. Etsy updated their policy page in February 2026 — all rates identical.
Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?
Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee and payment processing fee both apply to the shipping amount you charge the buyer. Only the flat $0.20 listing fee is unaffected by shipping. Offering free shipping does not reduce your Etsy fees if the shipping cost is built into the item price.
Is Offsite Ads mandatory?
If your shop earned $10,000 or more in the last 365 days, the 12% Offsite Ads fee is mandatory on sales driven by Etsy's external ads. Under $10,000, you can opt out in Shop Settings → Offsite Ads.
